Does Video Marketing and Social Video Help Achieve Business Goals?
Yes, but only as part of a well-rounded content marketing strategy.
Why use video and why publish as social video? Because:
- Video power the FB/IG discovery engine (∵people want distractions and want answers)
Videos make up 82% of all internet traffic in 2022 - All of your audience is on social media with 4.62 billion users in 2022
- 9 out of 10 internet users in the US watch video
Use video as a well-rounded content marketing strategy.
Why? Because not everyone has time to read. Not everyone listens to podcasts, not everyone is on social media daily.
Remember, one content marketing tactic is not ‘the next big thing’.
Yeah, YouTube is the 2nd largest search engine and we collectively watch almost 1 hour per person per day.
Focusing all your content marketing efforts on one channel is not a sound business strategy.
The question to ask is how many of my customers are consuming content? Also, ask when are they consuming content. Which devices are they consuming? Deeper still what problems, questions, and aspirations are they trying to answer?
Then ask if video is the modality best suited to answer those questions.
